Abdul Mombokaleo is the Director General of the Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA) and Secretary to the Authority’s Board of Directors. Before joining TAA in September 2024, he served as Manager of the National ICT Broadband Backbone at the Tanzania Telecommunications Corporation (TTCL). Prior to that, Mr Mombokaleo held various positions within TTCL including Head of the National Internet Data Center, Manager – Data Products and Solution Integrator. His career journey started with Huawei Technologies as Value Added Services Manager.

With decades’ experience and certifications in various ICT areas of expertise, Mr Mombokaleo brings to TAA a wealth of ideas and technological insights that will prove invaluable in repositioning the Authority to play a commanding role in facilitating the realization of the transformative potential of the aviation industry in Tanzania, especially as digital innovation, automation and efficiency are becoming absolute  necessities in enhancing aviation security and seamless traveler experience.

Mr. Mombokaleo boasts certifications in Project Management, Mobile Communications and Broadband Policy, Media Broadcasting Technologies, and is a Certified Data Center Expert. He holds an MSc. In Business Administration, an MSc. in Information Technology and a BSc. in Computer Science.
